Training
Mid Sussex Flyers welcomes new members to the club whether an experienced flyer or
completely new to the hobby.
The club has electric powered and Internal combustion trainers for potential members to get a taste of flying and for new
members to learn on while they get their own models together.
Whatever a new member’s experience they will have to pass the club solo test as laid down in
the rules before being able to fly without an instructor present.
The club is lucky enough to have several instructors happy to give their time to teach everything
from setting up a new model to pit safety and on to becoming a competent flyer and passing the
solo test.
Novice members should read through the BMFA Flying Start to get an idea of what’s expected.
Please note the club doesn’t offer training for helicopters.
